East Grinstead Country Home

This impressive country house in Mid Sussex underwent an extensive whole-house renovation, transforming both its interior and exterior. Key elements included a redesigned façade and updated interiors to remove its dated 1980s aesthetic, the addition of a contemporary and large open-plan glass extension at the rear, and the construction of a striking pool house within the garden. Interior updates featured parquet flooring throughout the ground floor, a remodelled oak staircase, custom-built fitted bookshelves, and newly designed kitchens and bathrooms. Elizabeth also designed the exterior landscaping, outdoor cooking area and pool area.

The design masterfully combined modern furnishings with timeless country charm, taking inspiration from the client’s artwork and personal style. A soothing neutral colour palette was applied to fabrics and furniture, creating a harmonious and tranquil ambiance. Elizabeth worked in close partnership with a local contractor and architect to deliver a beautifully crafted home and garden, reflecting the client’s vision with elegance and sophistication.
